Being a Saturday, the Officers and staff of the complex are some what free from the routine of issue of units to depot.
I spoke to COS and got data that last year 19 loads of scrap weighing 34 tons was disposed to Scrap yard.
Today I observed heaps of scrap lying at various places around the work shop complex
Works Manager assured that before 10th May he shall get these scrap heaps are disposed to scrap yard.
We discussed the strategy to get rid of the scrap materials as soon as possible.
The scrap is to be separated at every section on a daily basis. To keep a two barrel system.
serviceable material to be kept in a green coloured barrel and scrap material to be placed in a red coloured barrel.
The scrap to be sent to scrap yard on a weekly basis.
We conclded that we review this activity on a fortnightly basis.
